Internal communication within the university environment, especially "management - teacher - student" communication, represents one of important factors of successful organization of high-quality university education. Feedback from students and regular and well-organized communication between students, academic staff and university management can be used for detection of students' views and opinions on different aspects of education process. Moreover, the information from students is very helpful for defining the causes of students' failure and recognizing the potential problems in advance. Analysis of students' opinion is also one of important starting points for conceptual decision-making process, which should lead to implementation of new measures focused on reduction of students' failure probability. Situation of smaller universities differs from big ones and utilization of questionnaire surveys seems to be efficient. Small universities may utilize especially individual surveys and interviews. These can reveal various study issues in advance and enable their effective solution in early stages. The aim of the presented paper is to assess pilot implementation of such a system based mainly on interviews, when this system has truly led to early identification of study problems.
