Pd complex of an NNN pincer ligand supported on γ-Fe2O3@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles: a new catalyst for Heck, Suzuki and Sonogashira coupling reactions

摘要
In this study, a Pd complex of bis(imino)pyridine as an NNN pincer ligand supported on gamma-Fe2O3@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles (Pd-BIP-gamma-Fe2O3@SiO2) was synthesized and characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, TGA, ICP, XRD, XPS, VSM and elemental analysis. The synthesized catalyst was used successfully as a new air-and moisture-stable phosphine-free Pd catalyst for Heck, Suzuki and Sonogashira coupling reactions of aryl iodides, bromides and chlorides with alkyl acrylates, styrene, phenylboronic acid and phenylacetylene. The true heterogeneous magnetically-recyclable catalyst can be separated easily using a magnetic bar and reused ten times without any drastic loss of its catalytic activity.
