Preparation and gas sensing properties of vanadium oxide nanobelts coated with semiconductor oxides

摘要
Vanadium oxides nanobelts coated with Fe2O3, TiO2 and SnO2 nanoparticles have been prepared by mild hydrothermal reaction. The gas sensitivity of the coated nanobelts was investigated compared with pure vanadium oxide nanobelts. The experiments showed that the nanobelts coated with nanosize metal oxides offered better sensitivity than the uncoated nanobelts. Comparison of the gas sensing properties was performed for V2O5 nanobelts with different coatings. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All fights reserved.
