Some comments on the existence and nature of critical antioxidant concentrations

The arguments in the paper by Gugumus [Critical stabilizer concentrations in oxidizing polymer, Polym. Degrad. Stab., 1994, 46, 123], where the inability of the author to find critical antioxidant concentrations is used as evidence of the absence of the phenomenon, are discussed. It is shown that critical phenomena play no part in the conditions of these experiments. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Limited.
