Selective Laser Melting (SLM) is an additive manufacturing process which is gaining increasing importance. In this paper, results from cyclic tests on SLM-parts consisting of titanium alloy TiAl6V4 will be presented. For this purpose, fatigue tests in order to determine the fatigue limit were carried out. Fracture mechanical analyses were conducted to determine the fracture mechanical performance. The results show that both the fatigue limit and the threshold value for crack propagation are lower than the values for reference material. In order to improve material properties of SLM parts, different treatments were applied. For the crack initiation period as well as for the stable crack growth could be shown, which treatments provide material properties that are comparable to the base material.
