White-Light-Emitting (Ca, Sr, Ba)MgSi2O6 : Eu, Mn Phosphor Pumped by Using an Ultraviolet LED

摘要
The (Ca, Sr, Ba)MgSi2O6 : Eu2+, Mn2+ phosphor shows three emission bands, peaking at around 450 nm (blue), 580 nm (yellow) and 680 nm (red), respectively. As the Sr and the Ba ratios in the (Ca, Sr, Ba)MgSi2O6 : Eu2+, Mn2+ phosphors increase, the decay times of the blue emission bands are lengthened by an order of millisecond and their luminescent intensities are improved. These behaviors can be explained in terms of the Ca2+ vacancies or the lattice defects generated by the substitution of larger. Sr2+ or Ba2+ ions. Also, the white light is generated by blending the (Ca, Sr, Ba)MgSi2O6 : Eu2+, Mn2+ phosphor with a green-emissive (Ba, Sr)(2)SiO4 EU2+ phosphor excited by using an ultraviolet line of 365 nm.
