Bandpass Frequency Selective Surface with Wide Shielding Effectiveness

摘要
This paper presents a novel frequency selective surface topology in X-band with 14.6 % fractional bandwidth from extending from 10.39 GHz to 12.02 GHz. Four transmission zeros at 8.5 GHz, 9.5 GHz, 12.6 GHz and 15.5 GHz have introduced to increase the shielding effectiveness in the stop band of the FSS. The shielding effectiveness is better than 10 dB near the lower and upper -3dB cut-off frequencies.. It extends over 1.96 GHz in lower stopband and 4.24 GHz in higher stopband region. Due to the sharper transition in the transition region, it offers a high selectivity needed for many applications.
