摘要
The increasing cost of the grid electric energy and the decreasing costs of the photovoltaic panels and accessories make the reason for many individuals and businesses to seriously take into consideration the solar power solution. In this paper we present a low cost design of a photovoltaic system for small homes or business. The system can be used as off-grid source of AC energy, and also can be used combined with the grid power by a low cost switch procedure. To obtain a low cost system, we propose also few methods to optimize both received sunlight power and energy consumption. The energetic efficiency increase is based on automatic solar trackers use to obtain the best exposure of the panels to the sunlight. The energy consumption optimization is based on automatic switching on/off and inverter/grid of the loads in certain conditions. The controller is implemented in a high density FPGA, which support complex hardware architectures, and can be configured to correspond to the user needs.
