摘要：

The concentrations of (210)Po and (210)Pb have been measured in soil, sediment and rock samples collected from major rivers of coastal Karnataka, viz. Kali, Sharavathi and Netravathi. The activity of (210)Po and (210)Pb in the samples were separated by radiochemical methods and the activity was counted using ZnS(Ag) alpha-counter. The activity ratio of (210)Po and (210)Pb and the dependence of organic matter content on the activity of these radionuclides were studied.
