摘要
In the present work, a constitutive equation based on modified von Mises yield criterion is adopted for iron based powder compaction. The material parameters of the constitutive equation are obtained by uniaxial die compaction test. With implementation of the constitutive equation and material parameters into a finite element code, the powder transfer and compaction processes of an automotive part are simulated for predicting the density distribution of the compact. The simulation results agree well with the measured data.
