Analysis of the Improvement on Quality of Higher Education

Chinese universities have been increasing the enrollment for higher education for the past two decades. The expansion in enrollment has transformed Chinese higher education from Elite Education into Popular Education. The gross enrollment rate in higher education of China has reached more than 24%. Issues and discussions concerning higher education in universities and colleges of all levels have drawn great attention from the whole society and the public for a long time. Higher education has become a widely discussed topic. In order to continuously provide the society with innovative talents who act as the vital power for the growth of our society, universities and colleges must keep raising the standards of academic specialty, improving teaching methods and perfecting teaching quality control system, which are all necessary means to achieve the final purposes of sustainable improvement of higher education. Universities and colleges will improve the general quality of higher education sufficiently and steadily, and achieve long-term sustainable growth of our human society.
