摘要
In this study, Al2O3 nanoparticles and NaCl aqueous solution are combined into Al2O3/NaCl aqueous solution nanofluids to enhance the CO2 absorption of the base fluid (NaCl aqueous solution). The absorption experiments are carried out in the bubble type absorber system. The particle concentration ranges from 0.005 to 0.1 vol%. It is found that the optimum concentration of Al2O3 nanoparticles is 0.01 vol% in the NaCl aqueous solution-based nanofluids and then CO2 solubility is enhanced to 11.0%, 12.5% and 8.7% for Al2O3/NaCl aqueous solution at 30 degrees C, 20 degrees C and 10 degrees C, respectively. It is concluded that the effect of nanoparticles on the mass transfer enhancement is more significant in the region of unsaturated state than that of the saturated state. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
