摘要
One main reason for introducing biodiesel as an alternative fuel is to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide from the transport sector. Less composition of carbon and high for oxygen of RME (biodiesel from rape) inherently reduces CO and CO2 emissions and total hydrocarbon emission reduction has been obtained. The use of all biodiesel qualities resulted in PM reduction and NOx increase. Diesel-water emulsion, as alternative fuel, has potential to significantly reduce the formation of NOx, soot, hydrocarbons and PM in the diesel engine. The reduction of NOx originates from the reduction of local high temperature, which is active source of NOx production. Water addition to the fuel is effective to reduce PM emission also. It is concluded that the use of both alternative fuels would lead to lower level of diesel engine emissions.
