摘要
A polarisation independent conformal absorber has been proposed for X-band microwave application. The absorber unit cell consists of three resonators, which generate three absorption bands at 9.1, 11.04 and 11.44 GHz with more than 90% absorption. The full wave at half maximum bandwidth of the absorber is 320 and 720 MHz at lower and upper-frequency bands. The absorber is conformal as it has a low-profile flexible substrate with an ultrathin thickness of 0.01.o, where.o is the wavelength at 9.1 GHz. The proposed absorber unit cell has a fourfold symmetry, which makes the absorber polarisation independent and possesses a wide angle stability under oblique incident angle up to 50 degrees. The absorption performance of the absorber on various radii of cylindrically curved surface has been confirmed through the simulated and measured results.
