摘要
Two induction magnetometers have been installed respectively at the Chinese Zhongshan station and the Australia Davis stations in the Antarctica. We use the cross-spectral technique to analyze the data of the two induction magnetometers recorded, in March 1997 and June, September, December 1996. Our purpose is to investigate Pc5 frequency range pulsation (150-600 s) occurrence and propagation in the cusp latitude. The results are summarized as follows: At the Zhongshan-Davis station, the Pc5 pulsation occurred over a wide time range, but more frequently at pre local magnetic noon and pre local magnetic midnight. It had no significant seasonal variations in the amplitude, occurrence and propagation. The amplitude had a small peak at pre local magnetic noon and large value sometimes at pre local magnetic midnight. In daytime, reversal at local magnetic noon, the Pc5 pulsation propagated westward in morning and eastward in afternoon. In nighttime, reversal at 20: 00MLT, the Pc5 pulsation propagated westward before it and eastward after it. Near dusk time, the Pc5 pulsation propagated irregularly. These characteristics indicate that the Pc5 pulsation has different sources at different local magnetic times.
