摘要：

The analysis of the tropic and symbolic treatment of Nahualism in Hombres de Maiz tries to bring out the relations text-reader that M.A. Asturias's writing invents. The Nahualism is a probing example of the making up of a veridiction contract internal to the text that installs the foundations for verisimilitude's conditions. The study of the character "Correo Coyote" enables to follow the progressive establishment of his double nature. It parallel establishment with Goyo Yic/"Tacuatzin" demonstrates the diegetic and symbolic importance of the Nahuatl motif.
