摘要
Efficient recognition for non-cooperative target plays a crucial role in on-orbit service missions. In this paper we proposed an improved feature matching method for efficiently recognizing space non-cooperative target by using its symmetric feature. The symmetric feature of the target model is detected by our proposed symmetry detection algorithm, and the redundant view points are removed according to previous symmetry detection. Experiments were carried out and the result shows that the viewpoints removal procedure leads to significant savings both in computation time and storage occupancy while maintaining the recognition performance.
