摘要：
Since 2010, the Hague Conference on Private International Law has been carrying out an intense work in the search for an international instrument that contributes to reduce the legal uncertainty that in many cases is generated when we are facing cross-border parentage. In this paper, the most significant milestones of this still unfinished process are reported, with special attention to the phenomenon of surrogacy.
