Evaluation of the lipophilicity of some benzodiazepines on the basis of chromatographic retention data provided by the principal components analysis

摘要
The R-Mo values of some benzodiazepines were determined by reversed high-performance thin layer chromatography (RP-HPTLC) on C-18, polyamide, and paraffin oil impregnated plates and methanol-water mobil phase, and the relationship between Log K-ow (n-octanol-water partition coefficient) and Log P (estimated by Rekker method) respectively, and R-Mo and scores corresponding to the first principal component was analysed. In addition, the correlation between the descriptors mentioned above and different physiological effect of benzodiazepines was also studied. The reliability of the factor scores values such as lipophilicity indexes was shown firstly by their high correlation with both log K-ow and Log P and secondly by their significant correlation with different physiological effects.
