Strategies to Promote the Sustainable Development of Rural Tourism: Based on Current Status and Existing Problems

摘要
In the 21st century, rural tourism has become an important branch of tourism in China. To promote sustainable development of rural tourism, relevant government departments in China need to take accurate and effective measures to deal with problems in the following aspects. For example, they should dig cultural connotation and highlight unique features of local villages; they should make good use of the local regional conditions and unique resources to meet market demand; they should develop a number of rural tourism products and byproducts in various forms and with distinctive characteristics. Based on core journals on rural tourism published in China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI) during the period from 2010 to 2015, this paper sorts out and summarizes existing problems and figures out research status of China's rural tourism and proposes some specific strategies to promote the sustainable development of rural tourism in China from economic, cultural, and environmental aspects, so as to further promote the development of tourism industry and the China's national economy.
