摘要：
The presentations at this meeting demonstrate that the control of eye movements is probably the best understood motor system from the level of genes and molecules to the neural orchestration of complex behaviors. Here I review my early involvement in this field, with personal impressions of how our current concepts developed and the individuals who shaped them.
