摘要
It has been shown that a Ti-gel coating is cabable of inducing apatite formation on its surface in vitro and in vivo. In this study different kind of titania coatings on (c.p.) titanium and the effect of protein adsorption on them were tested for apatite forming ability. Apatite forming tests were done by simulated body fluid tests. Ti-gels sintered at 500 degrees C formed apatite on their surface fastest of all coatings. Protein adsorption seems to slow down the apatite formation on the active coatings somewhat. Ca and P doped Ti-coatings were not cabable of inducing apatite formation sintered at any temperature up to 600 degrees C. The gel sintered at 500 degrees C should thus have the optimum nanostructure for Ca and P adsorption and apatite nucleation.
