摘要
THE MODERN BATTLEFIELD IS ONE OF AN ANAEROBIC NATURE WITH ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY AND TROOP MOVEMENTS. CONDITIONING PROGRAMS MUST ADDRESS FUNDAMENTAL STRENGTH AND POWER CAPABILITIES WITH OPTIMALLY DESIGNED PERIODIZED HEAVY RESISTANCE TRAINING PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, RECOVERY MUST BE CAREFULLY MONITORED WHEN PERFORMING ANY DEMANDING WORKOUT. CONCURRENT TRAINING WITH CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE PROGRAMS MUST BE CAREFULLY PRESCRIBED TO MINIMIZE NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE WARFIGHTER'S STRENGTH AND POWER CAPABILITIES. A WELL-DESIGNED TRAINING PROGRAM WITH SENSITIVITY TO RECOVERY NEEDS AND EMPHASIS ON THE DEVELOPMENT/MAINTENANCE OF STRENGTH AND POWER IS VITAL TO OPTIMIZING PHYSICAL READINESS FOR THE MODERN WARFIGHTER.
