摘要
In this paper the new 32m radio telescope of Torun Radio Astronomy Observatory, the Nicolaus Copernicus University, is described. Measurements of its performance and a list of actual and planned instrumentation for the antenna are discussed. Recent observational tests made with the total power radiometer at 5 GHz prove its high quality in efficiency, pointing and gain stability. The scientific program for the new telescope (VLBI, pulsar studies, spectroscopy) as well as the proposed new structure of the future National Radio Observatory were reviewed and openly discussed at the Polish Astronomical Society Meeting.
