The Comedie-Francaise is fortunate enough to be the only institution in the world to possess an entire run of its historical, institutional and artistic archives, virtually since Moliere's time. In the context of modern research taking into account the history of performance as well as textual studies, what we are offering here is an introduction to the resources of this outstanding collection of materials, a guide to the consultation and exploitation of its resources, and examples of documents only recently made available to researchers.
