With the impeding "leisure era", the conjunction and fusion among sports industry, culture tourism industry, leisure industry, nationwide fitness are to be greatly enhanced. Qin ling Mountains, a natural oxygen bar and back yard of Xi'an city are becoming the prime place for the local people to have activities such as leisure, entertainment, body-building owing to the particular natural geographical features. Hence, the systematic research of the sustainable development of the sports leisure industry in Qin ling Mountains from the perspective of ecological civilization embraces both theoretical and realistic implications. The research deals with sports leisure industry in Qin ling Mountains based on literature, interviews and fieldwork. It concludes: 1. Sports leisure industry refers to the business or business groups which provide sports leisure products or services for consumers; it is closely linked to leisure life, leisure behaviors, and leisure demands.2. Ecological civilization is a progressive and sustainable process, which is a complex of natural ecology, environmental ecology, social ecology and cultural ecology. Its development is overwhelmed with ecological civilization ideas, ethic codes, and ethnic cultural inheritance. 3. The development of cities provides the very necessary conditions for the development of sports leisure industry and boosts the citizens' demand for sports leisure; the economy of cities influences and brakes the development of sports leisure. 4. Sports leisure industry has influence on the construction of city image, influence, economy as well as social cultural values. 5. The development of sports leisure industry in Qin ling Mountains boasts some advantages such as rich natural resources, long cultural tradition, helpful government policies, and efficient industry fusion; however, it has some disadvantages such as low city comprehensive competitiveness, budding situations of leisure industry, serious shortage of sports market professionals. In addition, it faces the opportunities including the encouraging state policies, booming outdoors sports, strengthening awareness of people while it is confronted with fierce competition of similar products, government's poor sense of service, limited implementation of the concept "ecological civilization".
