摘要
We observed a highly efficient self-induced "oval hollow" mode operation in a Fabry-Perot microchip solid-state laser under strongly asymmetric "sheetlike" end-pumping. This new class of microresonator lasing mode features a hollow emission near-field pattern with a dark spot inside and a narrow unidirectional line-shape far-field pattern with a uniform intensity distribution.
