摘要
Recently, with the wide spread of digital AV equipment and wireless indoor network, a demand to transmit AV streams through wireless channel increases rapidly. In order to transmit a MPEG2-Transport Stream (MPEG2-TS) packet which is the standard data format of broadcasting applications, it must be transmitted on a low fitter channel. At present IEEE802.11 have spread widely as wireless transmission technologies for home PC network, but it is an asynchronous transmission system which based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) and Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) for lost packets. So when MPEG2-TS packet is transmitted over the wireless, the jitter of the packet exceeds an acceptable jitter level of MPEG2-TS decoder which is defined by the MPEG2-TS standard [1],[2]. In this paper, we propose a method for transmitting a high quality AV stream on a IEEE802.11a [3],[5] network.
