摘要
In this work, a highly stable end-to-end assembly of gold nanorods based on the oligonucleotide hybridization has been achieved. In this system, a special triple cyclic disulfide-modified DNA molecule was elaborately designed and immobilized on the end faces of gold nanorods. The polyvalent linkages between gold nanorods and cyclic disulfide groups-modified DNA tremendously increased the stability of the end-to-end assembly. The assembly strategy showed good controllability, and could be used for the assembly of more complex functional nanodevices and sensors in biological detection fields.
