摘要
Many engineering materials experience the corrosion process in harsh environments.In order to detect changes in surfaces of materials, it is possible to predict the relationship between surface conditions and surface acoustic waves in a large structural element.It is found that the Rayleigh-Ritz method can be used for the analysis of surface acoustic waves propagating in an elastic solid with a rough surface. The calculation with Rayleigh-Ritz shown that accurate results of Rayleigh wave frequency can be obtained by using the Rayleigh-Ritz method for arbitrary surfaces. By obtaining the Rayleigh wave velocity under the traction-free condition of the curved surface, the relationship between properties of surface waves and surface roughness is obtained for the evaluation of surface property.
