摘要：
The article provides a theoretical sociological analysis of sport as a modern phenomenon, as well as a content analysis of sports disciplines in Chinese sports universities. Information is given on the features of modern sport of high performance and sports disciplines in China and also the characteristics of the individual in high performance sport.
