摘要
The interaction of water with Fe3O4(001) films has been studied by using Auger electron spectroscopy, low-energy electron diffraction, ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy, and high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy. The water molecules can be dissociated at temperatures below room temperature. The OH groups are not vertical to the surface but titled and desorb at temperatures >= 400 K. The surface structure, components, and defects play important rules in water dissociation. These results are useful to understand the interaction between H2O and Fe3O4(001) surface and are helpful to prepare related materials for water dissociation.
