Ru2VAl and Ru2VGa: Two New Heusler-Type Compounds

摘要
Two new compounds, Ru2VAl and Ru2VGa, synthesized for the first time. The room temperature powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns identified these two materials as Heusler alloys (space group Fm-3m). The lattice parameters calculated from the XRD patterns are found to be 5.980 angstrom & 5.994 angstrom for Ru2VAl & Ru2VGa, respectively. The low temperature XRD patterns do not indicate the presence of any structural transition in the temperature range 12K-300K. These compounds show high resistances compared to standard metals.
