摘要
It is a general thought that concept has been the guiding precedent thinking in river management. The confirm of management method has been the key problem in the Yellow River management. The reason that the Yellow River sediment control is so difficult is determined by the ideal scientific nature, limitation of practicality and the actual feasibility. Against the condition of " little water and much sediment" in the Yellow River, the paper recognized that management of the Yellow River from past to now is profound. All the previous and existing methods were limited by their prior recognition of "little water and much sediment" and proposing "sediment reduction" measures among closed river systems. Based on this, the paper proposed the idea of " Sediment - water separation" to solve the problem of " little water and much sediment" in the Yellow River, which reconstructed water and sediment proportion, changed the state of water and sediment transport and expanded sediment provenance through "resource utilization". Mixing this with "Soil and water conservation" and "Water and sediment regulation", a "point - line - surface" river management strategy can be built. The basic purpose of the paper is to provide an innovative idea which provides reference and needs further scientific research for solving sediment problems in the Yellow River.
