摘要
Relying on Romanian archive documents, the author aims to outline the portrait of Princess Martha Bibescu, a controversial personality of the public life of Romania and a would-be outstanding intellectual figure. However, without holding a political office, she influenced in different ways the evolution of Romanian society in a very difficult historical period marked by the wars (1913-1918).
