摘要
Loyal gelling: A C 3 symmetrical L-glutamic acid based gelator was found to instantly form hexagonal nanotubes through anti-solvent gelation in a wide range of mixed solvents at room temperature. Guest molecules, including simple dyes and biological macromolecules, could be entrapped in the nanotubes (see figure). This method provides a general and efficient way for the encapsulation of guest compounds in organic nanotubes. © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
