摘要
Medicinal herbs are used since ancient times for their therapeutic benefits. Now-a-days chronic diseases have become a global threat. In order to safeguard human health one should adopt some eating habbits. Supplementing the daily eaten food with some herbs increases body's immunity towards stress and other unfavourable pathologies of human body. With this regard the plant selected was Talinum portulacifolium. It is often used as a vegetable, ornamental and medicinal plantin some traditional cultures. The plant has rich mineral nutritional value and used to treat certain ailments. The current review discusses its traditional, phytochemical, and pharmacological aspects. The literature review suggests that the plant needs to be explored phytochemically and pharmacologically.
