摘要：

A study has been made of the noise immunity of inspection when the top of a weld joint is scanned. The maximum structure-generated noise in the echo inspection method is shown to form mainly because of the refraction of the side rays of the directional diagram at the line of fusion or at the boundary of the upper layer with normally oriented regions of crystallites to the surface of the seam. Practical recommendations are made for increasing the noise immunity of the inspection.
