摘要
A first-of-a-kind solid state processing method is reported for creating metal foams with up to 40% porosity within powder particles, termed AERO (Additive Expansion by the Reduction of Oxides). In this first study, a complex fully foamed Cu-Sb sintered part is produced with close to 70% porosity and this could theoretically be even higher. © 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
