摘要
The paper describes an integrated design project that forms a substantial part of the final year of the MEng civil engineering course at the University of Glasgow. The project is structured to develop student design skills by providing the opportunity for innovation and the synthesis of knowledge from core subject areas such as hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, structural analysis and design. In addition to the development of technical skills, the project affords the opportunity to develop transferable skills in communication techniques, time management and information technology.
