摘要
This article deals with the geometrically nonlinear transient response of functionally graded (FG) shell panels in thermal environments having initial geometric imperfection. The theoretical formulation considers Sanders' approximation for doubly curved shells and von Karman type nonlinear stresses are incorporated into the first order shear deformation theory. The material properties are assumed to be temperature dependent and graded in the thickness direction. The shell panels considered for the analysis are cylindrical (CYL), spherical (SPH), and hyperbolic paraboloid (HPR). Effects of material composition, imperfection, temperature field, and radius of curvature on the nonlinear transient response of FG shell panels are studied.
