摘要
Field theory technique for computer aided design of a wide class of square waveguide 90-degree polarizers based on double ridged sections is presented. The proposed hybrid full wave technique for analysis of polarizers is based on Galerkin method with taking into account the edge condition, mode matching technique and generalized scattering matrix method. Compact X/Ku-band waveguide 90-degree polarizer is designed for operation within frequency bands 10.9-11.7 GHz and 14-14.5 GHz. The length of polarizer is reduced at a factor 1.9 in comparison with the corrugated square waveguide polarizer.
