Purification, crystallization and preliminary crystallographic studies of a class II chitinase from kidney bean seeds

摘要：
A new member of class 11 chitinase from Phaseolus vulgaris was purified and crystallized. Diffraction data to 2.7Angstrom resolution have been collected and the preliminary crystallographic studies have been completed. The space group is PI with unit cell parameters of a = 36.32Angstrom, b = 46.24Angstrom, c = 70.36Angstrom, alpha = 97.9degrees, beta = 103.8degrees and gamma = 110.5degrees. Molecular replacement and initial refinement statistics indicate there are two chitinase molecules in the crystallographic asymmetric unit.
