摘要
This study analyzed the effects of temperature on cardiac function of Piaractus mesopotamicus. The data suggest that the heart performance during temperature elevations is regulated mainly by chronotropic adjustments and that increased extracellular Ca2+ concentrations and high adrenaline can improve inotropism at high temperatures. When stimulation frequency was increased, a negative force-frequency relationship was observed at both 25degreesC and 35degreesC concomitant with increases in resting tension, indicating that relaxation is a limiting step. The post-rest potentiation was strongly inhibited by ryanodine, suggesting that, irrespective of temperature, the sarcoplasmic reticulum may contribute to excitation-contraction coupling.
