The therapeutic landscape in advanced non small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is rapidly changing. Never have so many changes of major importance occurred within so short a time. The present perspective describes this rapid evolution and resultant increasing complexity in the therapeutic decision-making process for the practicing oncologist. (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc.
