摘要
Duguetia lanceolata St.-Hil. (Annonaceae), popular known as pindaiba, is used in folk medicine as anti-inflammatory, cicatrizing and antimicrobial. The aim of the present study was to investigate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of D. lanceolata ethanol extract by acetic acid writhing, paw licking induced by formalin, hot plate and paw edema tests. The ethanol extract reduced (p < 0.05) the abdominal contortions (10 mg/kg = 58.37 +/- 1.90; 50 mg/kg = 54.37 +/- 2.14; 100 mg/kg = 41.50 +/- 2.04 and 200 mg/kg = 34.25 +/- 1.76) when compared with control group. Both phases of paw lick were inhibited (p < 0.05): 1(st) phase (50 mg/kg = 72.50 +/- 1.97; 100 mg/kg = 65.87 +/- 2.27 and 200 mg/kg = 47.75 +/- 2.20 and 2(nd) phase (50 mg/kg = 71.87 +/- 2.78; 100 mg/kg = 64.25 +/- 1.72 and 200 mg/kg = 56.62 +/- 2.32). After 30 min of treatment, the reaction time on the hot plate increased since dose 50 mg/kg (7.62 +/- 0.50) with maximal effect at dose 200 mg/kg (12.87 +/- 0.87). The doses of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg had significant effect to reduce the paw edema. These results suggest that D. lanceolata could constitute a source of active substances with antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects.
