摘要
We adopt the two-dimensional (2D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method for calculating the transmission light properties of the liquid crystal optical (LC) device prepared with micro patterned alignment layers. The one substrate is coated with micro patterned parallel and perpendicular LC alignment layers, and the other substrate is coated with uniformity perpendicular LC alignment layer; that is the LC cell with the micro patterned homeotropic and hybrid LC alignments can be obtained The wavefront of the transmission light passing through the LC cell can be controlled without applying the voltage to the LC cell.
