摘要
Although online flaunts are just commonly seen in the last decade, flaunts happen from time immemorial. The speediness and pervasiveness of Internet technologies amplify online flaunts. Social networking sites (SNSs) currently have become a great place for people to flaunt because flaunters can instantly show off their luxurious possessions or experiences to a large group of SNS audience. Our study aims at exploring this phenomenon and identifies the antecedents to online flaunty behavior and investigates whether flaunters will continue to stay in a SNS where there are full of alike persons. Our findings reveal that self-conceited, peer influence, celebrity effect and SNS technologies have positive impact on online flaunty behavior and explains 36% of the variance of such behavior.
