Dynamic Jahn-Teller mechanism of superconductivity in alkali-metal doped C60

摘要
We study the mechanism of superconductivity in alkali-metal-doped C-60 by using a model which takes account of both the electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions. It is shown that the dynamic Jahn-Teller effect is responsible for superconductivity in this material. The importance of the pair-transfer interaction is also pointed out, Furthermore, we show that the dynamic Jahn-Teller mechanism can be regarded as the Suhl-Kondo mechanism in the wave-number space. It is emphasized that the multiplicity of the conduction bands is essential in both mechanisms.
