Project-based learning in training translators An experiment to professionalize the student

摘要
In this article I present a project-based learning experience conducted in a translation course in which the project consisted of genuine translation briefs. This experience is described from three perspectives: project-based learning, the use of information and communication technologies and authentic practical tasks. All of these provide the student with the opportunity to acquire both the generic and specific competences defined in the course. In addition, they bring trainee translators into closer contact with the professional world, which should facilitate their entry into the job market, in accordance with the conditions set out in the framework document on the Integration of the Spanish University System into the European Higher Education Space (MEC 2003).
